A tale for the rootless is a choreographic investigation on the idea of a personal archive. The research is based on the reconstruction of identity through some family and historical memories, sculpting the image of the colonial heritage and investigating a gestural, textual and rhythmic translation through choreography.
I was part of the project as an artistic consultant; the work carried out was on several levels, both in the olfactory research and in the supply of raw materials that would resonate with Teresa’s work. We tested the formulation in test synergies and studied geographical places and botanical scents that belong to the biography of ‘artist.
