[Versione italiana – Wild oat e aromaterapia per ritrovare la propria strada]
Have you ever felt lost, as if you were wandering aimlessly? Do you have the feeling that you are living in a situation that does not make you feel alive and fulfilled? If the answer is yes, you may be in a state of mind that Dr. Bach, creator of the Bach Flowers, called ‘Wild Oat’.
Wild Oat is the flower associated with uncertainty and lack of direction in life. People in this state of mind often feel frustrated and dissatisfied, despite having a lot of potential. It can be difficult to make choices because we lack clarity about our path. The feeling of being ‘stuck’ and not knowing which way to go can lead to deep restlessness and a feeling of wasted time and resources.
Aromatherapy can be a valuable ally in this journey of discovery in synergy with the Bach flowers. Essential oils, extracted from plants, contain the very essence of nature and can act on a physical, emotional and spiritual level, helping us to regain balance and clarity. In some cases, it is not easy to do this on your own, so you can seek the support of a coach or a therapist.
Two Essences to Lighten the Way
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis): Rosemary essential oil is known for its stimulating and invigorating properties. Its fresh, pungent aroma can help awaken the mind, improve concentration and promote mental clarity (these qualities are recognised by both ancient Mediterranean medicine and Ayurveda). In a Wild Oat state, where confusion and indecision reign supreme, rosemary can be a valuable ally in regaining focus and determination.
Rose (Rosa damascena or Rosa centifolia): Rose essential oil, extracted from the delicate petals of this iconic flower, is considered the ‘queen of essential oils’. Its sweet, floral and complex aroma evokes love, compassion and inner beauty. In a Wild Oat state, where finding one’s way can lead to feelings of vulnerability and misunderstanding, the rose can offer deep emotional and spiritual nourishment. Its enveloping scent can help open the heart, promote self-love and accept one’s vulnerability, allowing one to recognise and embrace one’s unique path (Rose is a traditional remedy in both Mediterranean and Ayurvedic traditions).
The choice of essential oils in synergy with the Bach flowers varies from person to person, and these suggestions are only general indications. The specificity of the situation in which we find ourselves is very unique, if you need support you can contact me for coaching sessions.
